ABOUT JAIME LEE LIGHTLE
Jaime Lee graduated from Carleton University with a BA in Canadian Studies in 2003 and obtained her Graduate Level Diploma in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute in 2022.
Since 2017, Jaime Lee has worked in the field of art therapy as both a student and graduate. She has supported art therapy since 2009 after meeting her husband, a CAF Veteran who participated in art therapy programs.
Her practice focuses on trauma recovery using holistic, evidence-based methods aimed at supporting overall healing. The approach prioritizes addressing the causes of trauma rather than only managing symptoms.
Jaime Lee participates in community-based projects that offer art therapy in rural areas of Annapolis. She has experience working with various populations across different settings, including Long Term Care institutions and Substance Use Recovery facilities. Currently, she runs Art Therapy programs for Active and Retired CAF Veterans and their families, and advocates for the use of arts education as an evidence-based treatment for mental health concerns, particularly within the military community.

Jaime Lee is a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists.
